Correction Policy
How we handle corrections, updates, and report errors to maintain editorial accuracy.
Autvex aims to publish accurate, useful automotive research and reviews. When errors happen, this policy explains how corrections are handled.
How to Report an Error
Readers can report factual errors, outdated pricing, incorrect specifications, broken references, or unclear sourcing by using the contact page or emailing contact@autvex.com. Please include the article URL, the specific issue, and a source if available.
Review Process & Timeline
Reported issues are checked against manufacturer materials, EPA data, NHTSA records, IIHS ratings, official manuals, reputable publications, or other reliable sources. We strive to acknowledge and investigate all reported errors within 48 hours. Minor grammar or formatting issues may be fixed without a correction note.
Corrections vs. Clarifications
Corrections: Made when an article contains a material factual error (e.g., incorrect pricing, safety ratings, recall information, or technical specifications). Clarifications: Made when the original information was factually accurate but potentially confusing or misleading.
Correction Notes
Material factual changes will include a transparent correction note explaining what was changed and when. For highly significant errors that change the core recommendation of a review, the correction note will be placed prominently at the top of the article. Standard corrections will be noted at the bottom.
Updates
Automotive information changes often. Autvex may update articles for new model-year information, pricing changes, recalls, software updates, trim changes, and newly available safety or reliability data. Updated articles may show a revised update date.
